The data was always there.
Nobody made it usable.
LobbyScope was built out of frustration. Every week, billions of dollars in political spending are disclosed in public filings — FEC Schedule E reports, Senate LDA lobbying disclosures, Congressional bill actions — and the people who need that intelligence most are too busy to dig through raw government databases to find it.
