Terms of Service
The rules governing your use of LobbyScope's platform and deliverables.
Effective date: April 8, 2026
Use of Service
Permitted use
LobbyScope grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use lobbyscope.com and its deliverables for your own lawful informational and research purposes. Journalists, campaign staff, policy analysts, and ESG researchers are our intended audience.
Prohibited use
You may not use LobbyScope to harass, defame, or target individuals; to interfere with or disrupt the platform; to scrape or harvest data in bulk via automated means; or to redistribute our research deliverables for commercial resale without a white-label agreement.
Account responsibility
If you share a subscription with colleagues, you are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@lobbyscope.com if you believe your access credentials have been compromised.
Intellectual Property
Our content
All research briefs, newsletters, analyses, and original written content produced by LobbyScope are owned by CivicWatch and protected by United States copyright law. The LobbyScope name, logo, and mark are trademarks of CivicWatch.
Your license to deliverables
Paid subscribers receive a license to use delivered research briefs internally — including in presentations, grant applications, and client reports — provided LobbyScope is credited as the source. White-label Agency clients have separate terms governing attribution.
Public source data
LobbyScope's analysis draws on publicly available government data (FEC filings, Senate LDA disclosures, Congress.gov records). That underlying raw data is in the public domain; our synthesis, analysis, and written output is not.
Disclaimers
Not legal or financial advice
LobbyScope's intelligence products are informational only. Nothing on this site or in any deliverable constitutes legal advice, financial advice, or an investment recommendation. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on our analysis.
Accuracy
We strive for accuracy and cite primary sources in every brief. However, government filings contain errors, data may be delayed, and political situations change rapidly. LobbyScope makes no warranty — express or implied — as to the completeness or timeliness of its analysis.
Service availability
The platform is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime or that all features will be available at all times. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.
Limitation of Liability
Liability cap
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CivicWatch's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or LobbyScope's services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the three months preceding the claim.
Exclusion of consequential damages
CivicWatch will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm — arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
